Chad Curtis is the news director for the students who report and produce the award-winning KUJH-TV news. His career in journalism includes TV news producing jobs in Las Vegas and Flint, Michigan. Curtis jumped up to the network news level in 1995 when he started working with NBC News Channel, the division of NBC News that works with affiliates across the country to facilitate information, video and audio between the affiliates and also between the network and the affiliates. His work at NBC News Channel has taken him to Olympic Games, Super Bowls, Democratic and Republican National Conventions, and Ground Zero in New York City.

Curtis has been a collegiate news director before, with his students consistently winning national awards at college journalism competitions. His former students include a network White House correspondent, a reporter for NBC Nightly News, and reporters, producers, and anchors at all levels of U.S. broadcast journalism.

Curtis holds a master's degree in communications from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.
