Hannah created her agency to provide top-notch services to nonprofits at a price point they could actually afford and has dedicated her career to the development of best practices in nonprofit communications. From creative director to national campaign manager, her role at The Shoestring Agency increases the capacity of the nonprofit organizations the agency serves.
A trained and experienced journalist and editor, Hannah oversees the content on a number of client news and content-centric sites. She is an experienced writer, researcher, photojournalist and video producer. She also regularly works with national news outlets to produce pieces on good causes. Hannah landed her first job as a reporter at the age of 16 and has a passion not only for storytelling but also for journalism standards and ethics.
She began her career in nonprofit communications at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. After becoming a mom, Hannah began freelancing to ensure a proper work-life balance. Her first client was the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership at UMKC. Two decades later, The Shoestring Agency is a recognized leader in nonprofit marketing.
