Muhammad Ittefaq was born in Punjab, Pakistan. He completed his bachelor’s in Communication Studies at the Institute of Communication Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. He then moved to Ilmenau, Germany, where he completed his master’s in Media and Communication Science at the Institute of Media and Communication Science, Technical University of Ilmenau, Germany. Before starting his MSc in Germany, he was print media journalist and worked for various media outlets including Daily Times and The Educationist. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas. His work has been published in Journal of Media Ethics, Sage Open, Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia and Digital Health Journal. He is student member of International Communication Association (ICA) and Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC).
